Action

Three men sitting together outside a cafe and play cards. They are served by a waiter who brings them a bottle of beer and three glasses. The waiter looked at them for some time playing cards and happy with the winner of the game. Then the three men drinking together their beer.

Background information

Une partie de cartes was the directorial debut of Georges Méliès, who worked for this film with some family members. Gaston Méliès later worked as a film director and producer with in the realization of numerous films. For him, this was his film debut.
