Plochingen is a city in Baden- Württemberg. It is located about 20 kilometers southeast of the provincial capital Stuttgart at the confluence of the Neckar and Fils in the district of Esslingen.

History

Plochingen was in 1146 as Blochingen first time in a document of King Conrad III. mention of Hohenstaufen. There was Plochingen two castles, but nothing more is left of them. Traffic
