Plouyé

Plouyé ( Plouie Breton ) is a commune in the Finistère department of Brittany in with 735 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011). The village name is translated to " the congregation of the Ia " and may be associated with the Cornish saints Ia.

Geography

The place is located near the Armorica Regional Nature Park (French Parc naturel régional d' Armorica ), in a hilly and wooded area. At the southwest boundary of the municipality of the river Ellez runs.

Morlaix is 30 kilometers (km) north, 55 km west of Brest, Rennes 150 km east-southeast and Paris, about 450 km to the east.

Infrastructure

Plouyé is secluded from the main traffic routes. In Morlaix and Landivisiau are the next departures of the highway E 50 (Rennes - Brest) and regional stations on the parallel line.

In Brest and Rennes, there is the nearest regional airports.
