Plush

Plush ( actually French peluche [ pəlyʃ ] ) is a woven or knitted fabric with a very soft handle.

As plush fabric is prepared similarly velvet. In contrast to this plush has a much higher, but less dense fibrous web (up to several centimeters high ).

When knitted sheared plush or plush velor an extra thread is involved in normal knitted fabric that forms on the fabric surface small loops. If the loops cut, caused by the many small, hanging from the fabric filaments a velvety surface. The additional thread may be integrated over the entire surface or patterned (eg terry ).
