Pobierowo

Pobierowo [ pɔbjɛrɔvɔ ] ( German Poberow ) is a seaside resort on the Baltic coast in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. He belongs to the municipality Rewal ( Rewahl) in the powiat Gryficki.

Pobierowo located about ten kilometers east of the island of Wolin between the towns Łukęcin ( Lüchenthin ) and Pustkowo ( Pustkow ). The place has a fine sandy beach and is very wooded.

History

Poberow was once a manor, which was in the possession of the family von Kleist. The property south of the present village lying does not exist anymore. The place was inhabited by free peasants and fishermen.

The street where lived the fishermen developed, starting from the year 1905, a tourist infrastructure. It was the first hotel in the village, and the locals rented Bed & Breakfast. In the years from 1920, the resort expanded greatly. 1930 were converted into building lots to 800 m² size is about 80 hectares of forest between Poberow and Pustkow. There was a wide landscape of wooden holiday houses under tall pines.

1945 Poberow was conquered by the Red Army and subsequently placed under Polish administration. The German population was expelled or forcibly resettled after the war due to the Bierut Decrees. The German site Poberow was renamed Pobierowo.

Economy

Pobierowo is a substantially influenced by tourism town in the rural community Rewal. In addition to the tourist industry, the municipality has a sufficient infrastructure.

Generally

The shops for daily needs are mainly concentrated in the center Pobierowo near the bus station.

In the ulica Zgody the new fire and rescue station of the town was 2010/11 set up. In the ulica Grunwaldska there is a pharmacy, very close to the post office of the place.

Trade

The product range and the diversity of the dealers in Pobierowo varies greatly between summer and winter months. Numerous shops, including clothing and jewelry shops, open only in the summer months.

In the food markets is the typical Polish " Skleps " - smaller shops where all everyday goods can be purchased. The variety of goods varies between summer and winter months.

The service industry, including hair salons, spread over the whole place.

On the coast road 102 ( Miedzyzdroje - Trzebiatow ) Pobierowo has one station.

Tourism

Tourism is the main industry of the village dar. The conversion is achieved, especially in the summer months when the site is primarily used by mass tourism. In the winter months the offer is more individual and wellness travelers.

As with the shops of trade, also the restaurant operations concentrated in the summer months along the streets ulica ulica Grunwaldska and Zgody.

All year so far have opened only a couple of bars. In addition to the Top Cafe at the ulica Grunwaldska these are mainly the restaurants of the year-round accommodation establishments. This offer their guests often spa and health facilities to ( Baginsky Spa, Wy & Spa).

In addition to the larger hotel complexes have been providing several smaller houses a year-round service ( Pish, Morski Ogrody, Pensjonat Flamingo, Haus Elisabeth ).

In planning the rural community for the seaside resort Poberow is a possible pier and a connection to the heritage railway Niechorze - talk Gryfice.

In the center of the village, the community Rewal has built a sports and community center. Traffic

Pobierowo located on the coast road 102 Świnoujście after Trzebiatow. About the connecting road to Gostyn Pobierowo is also attached to the hinterland.

Public local and long distance traffic

Pobierowo has a bus station in the center of the village. All year From here buses of the local and long-distance traffic and connect Pobierowo with the larger towns Kamien Pomorski, Miedzyzdroje and Gryfice, but also with Stettin. In the summer months the offer of the compounds is increased and supplemented by national long-distance connections, for example to Jelenia Gora ( Hirschberg ).
