T.A.T.u. w Podnebesnoi (Russian tATu в Поднебесной to German " tATu under heaven ") was a 13-part reality TV series, which aired on the Russian commercial broadcaster CTC from January to March 2004.

Concept

The series was conceived as a reality show about the Russian pop duo tATu A film crew to the Russian director Vitaly Manski accompanied tATu and their manager Ivan Shapovalov at the recording for a second Russian -language album with the working title Podnebesnaya. Manski had a year previously the documentation Anatomija tATu rotated, in which he had accompanied the singing duo, among others, the Euro Vision Song Contest 2003. t.A.T.u. w Podnebesnoi but differed from Anatomia tATu, as that viewers were directly involved in the format. In fact, this concept was widely resonance, so that already on the day of the broadcast of the first episode had been received over 10,000 song suggestions. Director Manski described this concept as absolutely new to the Russian market.

Series

Unlike originally intended Volkova and Katina appeared on the show hardly appear. In the first episode they were shown only about ten minutes at a photo shoot, the rest of the airtime comments took a celebrity and people involved in the project. Especially tATu Ivan Shapovalov manager used the series to promote itself and to present their own projects and works. Publications
