Poipet ( official transcription: Paoy Pêt ) is a city in the province of Banteay Meanchey in western Cambodia. It lies directly on the border with Thailand and is one of the most important border crossings between the two countries. On the Thai side is Aranyaprathet.

On an approximately 200 meter wide strip between the actual and the Cambodian border checkpoint there are several casinos. This allows visitors from Thailand, where gambling is prohibited to have to play here without the Cambodian border control happen.
