Pola Illéry

Pola Illéry (born Paula Iliescu; * October 15, 1908 in Corabia, Romania, † February 15, 2012 in Scranton, Pennsylvania) was a Romanian - French film actress.

Life

Pola Illéry, the early enthusiasm for the theater was born as the daughter of Jewish parents in the Romanian port city Corabia. Her first film appearance was in 1928 in the French silent film Le Désir. Although petite, only about 1.50 m tall actress held only a small supporting role here, they caught with their exotic appearance stir. Shortly thereafter, she was offered the opportunity to take in the adventure drama Le Capitaine Fracasse directed by Alberto Cavalcanti a larger part. Illéry died on 15 February 2012 at the age of 103 years. She left behind four children.
