Polar Bear Peak
Northwestern flank of the Polar Bear Peak
The mountain is located in the Chugach State Park, 35 km east of Anchorage and 8 km east of Lakes Symphony Lake and Eagle Lake. The South Fork of the Eagle River rises on its western flank.
His name was the Polar Bear Peak in 1963 by members of the Mountaineering Club of Alaska, who felt (English Polar bear ) recalls the shape of a snow field on its northern flank of a polar bear.
