Polerady (Most District)

Polerady ( German Polerad ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located seven kilometers south of must and is part of the Okres Most.

Geography

The village is located on the southwestern foot of the Bohemian Central Mountains in the North Bohemian Basin. To the north rises the Borový vrch (280 m), in the northeast of Chlum (259 m), southeast of the Velka Volavka ( Wolepschitzer mountain, 344 m). To the north are former heaps of lignite mining on which the Hippodrome must has been created. The north-eastern villages Kamenná Voda, Židovice and Stránce fell as the brown coal mining victim as the southern neighbor village Třískolupy. Southeast is the power plant Počerady.

Neighboring towns are Velebudice and Vtelno in the north, Sedlec, Korozluky and Zaječice in the northeast, Bečov in the east, Volevčice and Počerady the southeast, Výškov and Blažim in the south, Moravěves the southwest, Koporeč and Havraň in the west and Nemilkov and Lišnice in the northwest.

History

1250 Wenceslas I gave the monastery Ossegg part of the village Poljuradi. 1455 was a part of Polerad to Brüx Hněvín Castle. 1559 Polerady belonged to the lords of Postelberg.

1708 bought Prince Fládovsky the court of John of Udritsch on Udritsch ( UDRC ). 1720 started at the beginning of the year in the area of coal mining. 1754 a quarry was opened. On October 19, 1756 500 Prussia raided the village and took 9 horses and 300 cattle. 1828 a lard factory was opened.

1887 Polerad received by the local railway Potscherad - Wurzmes a rail connection.

For the community Polerady no districts are reported. On the land the extinct monolayer Mastný Dvůr is ( Schmalzhof ).
