Polet Airlines (Russian: ЗАО Авиакомпания " Полёт » ) is a Russian airline based in Voronezh. It leads primarily through international freight, but also some continental passenger flights.

History

Polet Airlines was founded in 1988. Flight operations began in the same year with an Antonov An -30A with cargo flights and passenger transport for gas companies in northern Russia. The fleet was constantly extended by orders from other gas companies and the Russian Air Force.

Mid -1990s, two Antonov An-124 -100 is the second largest cargo aircraft in the world procured. In order for a market niche for heavy transport was developed and founded its own cargo division. In April 1998, a newly developed rail system for heavy loads has been installed in the An-124. 1999 and 2001 Polet received the flight and landing rights in the U.S. and Canada.

In August 2003 Polet Airlines began with the passenger as a regional airline. In the meantime, international destinations are served.

Destinations

The main business of Polet Airlines provide global cargo flights with a focus on heavy transports; they also has the approval for the transport of satellites and rockets for the Russian space agency.

In addition, it also offers some passenger services. Apart from Krasnodar, Novosibirsk, Norilsk, Yekaterinburg, Ulyanovsk, Sochi, St Petersburg, Belgorod and Moscow -Domodedovo domestically internationally Yerevan, Baku, Minsk, Prague, Munich, and seasonal Qostanai also Larnaca, Antalya and Istanbul are served.
