Polish Radio Katowice

Polskie Radio Katowice is a regional public service radio station Polskie Radio for the Silesian Voivodeship, based in Katowice.

The station was launched in 1927 with its program on medium wave 759 kHz with 12 kW output power. 1937 Radio Katowice moved into its new building. In 1939, the transmission system of the slave transmitter Katowice ( 1231 kHz) of the Reichssender Wroclaw.

In 1998 the building of Radio Katowice is extended. 2005, the new studio was opened for concerts.

Polskie Radio Katowice has local offices in Czestochowa, Bielsko- Biała, Zawiercie and Gliwice. Polskie Radio Katowice owns a recording studio and published plates.
