Pong Nam Ron District
Amphoe Pong Nam Ron ( Thai: อำเภอ โป่งน้ำร้อน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the eastern province of Chanthaburi. The Chanthaburi province is located in the eastern region of central Thailand.
Geography
Neighboring districts are ( from the southwest clockwise): the Amphoe Khlung, Makham, Khao Soi Dao Khitchakut and the province of Chanthaburi. In the east, the provinces of Battambang and Pailin of Cambodia are.
History
The sub-district ( King Amphoe ) Pong Nam Ron was raised on 25 July 1941 in the full Amphoe status.
Administrative units
Amphoe Pong Nam Ron ( tambon) divided into five municipalities, which in turn in 47 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.
There are three small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Pong Nam Ron ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โป่งน้ำร้อน ) consists of parts of tambon Pong Nam Ron and Thap Sai,
- Nong Ta Khong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง ตา คง ) consists of the whole tambon Nong Ta Khong,
- Khlong Yai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล คลองใหญ่ ) consists of the whole Tambon Khlong Yai.
There are also three - Tambon administrative organizations ( " Tambon Administrative Organizations" - TAO, Thai: องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ).
Note that the missing geocodes refer to the Tambon from which the district Soi Dao exists today.
