Features

The Pontia edusa is a small to medium-sized migrant moth, which is different from most other white bodies through his green-gray spots on the hind wing undersides. A similar pattern is found at the orange tip, but much divided, and the alpine white body, but where it follows the veins. He is habitually indistinguishable from Pontia daplidice. Studies of the genitals are the only way to distinguish between these two types. We also talk about Artkomplex Pontia edusa / P. daplidice.

The caterpillars of the Resedaweißlings are colored striking: their green, black spotted body carries broad yellow stripes. They are quite similar to the caterpillars of the large cabbage white.
