Pool (Cornwall)
Pool is a village in the English district of Cornwall.
Location
It is located in West Cornwall Redruth and Camborne between the A30 and the A 3047 between Tuckingmill and Illogan Highway.
Attractions
- The Trevenson Chapel was erected because of the growing mining town in 1809 by Lord de Dunstanville and Basset.
Infrastructure
Among the employers counted until its closure in 1998 the South Crofty Mine. The station was established in 1961 for passengers and then finally closed in 1967 for freight and the nearest station on the Cornish Main Line is now either in Redruth or Camborne. The so-called Innovation Center is now the commercial center of the town.
