It was when it opened as the most modern movie theater between St. Louis and Memphis. It had 1160 seats in the auditorium with red plush seats that each snuggled the body, including 20 chair with hearing aids were fitted. The movie theater was heated and cooled by an air conditioner. There was next to a separate sound proof cry room where parents could look at the film through a soundproof glass with their little children, without disturbing the audience in the auditorium. In the later years of the great auditorium was replaced by two smaller viewing rooms. After it was opened in the neighborhood, a multiplex cinema, closed Rodgers Lichtspielhaus on 14 May 1998.
