Poro (Cebu)

Poro is a town of the province of Cebu in the Philippines.

It is located on the island together with Tudela Poro, Camotes one of the islands. The city's name is derived from the word warayischen puro, meaning island. Or Camotes Visayan - - As the city's Porohanon language is spoken, which is very similar to the Cebuano. The feast day of Poro is celebrated every year on the third Friday in January.
