Mongla ( Bengali: মংলা, Maṃlā, formerly Chelna ) is a city in the south of Bangladesh in the district of Bagerhat and inland harbor of the city of Khulna. It has 67,100 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2004) and is located on a tributary of the Ganges at the entrance of the Sundarbans.

Mongla is the main port of the region and the second largest in Bangladesh ( Chittagong ).
