Portobello (Edinburgh)

Portobello (nicknamed " Porty " ) is a small town about 8 km east of Edinburgh ( Scotland, UK). The resort is situated on the North Sea in the Firth of Forth. The town has existed since Roman times and was named Latin Bodotria. Porto Bello is just 40 km east of the town of Bo'ness, where Carriden marked the end of the Antonine Wall, and 14 km east of Cramond with a Roman fort.

The sandy beach is a popular destination for residents of the region in the summer.
