The Posavski Gonic, also save Bracke, Savetalbracke or Posavatz - hound, is recognized by the FCI Croatian breed of dog from the Save Area ( Posavina ). The breed belongs to the FCI group 6, section 1.2, the default has the number 154

The Posavski Gonic is a 58 cm large running dog, which is almost unknown outside his home. The ears are of medium size, hanging close to the head and have rounded tips. Dense double coat, about 2 to 3 cm long, covered the body in all reddish wheat yellow color gradations. White markings on the head, neck, forechest, abdomen, limbs and tail tip are desirable.

Use

The Posavski Gonic is a hunting dog. Originally a hound, he also finds use as a bloodhound. It is also suitable as a guard dog or family if sufficient outlet for the very lively dog is present.
