Title list

Music style

Stylistically similar to Power of the Hunter 's debut album Filth Hounds of Hades, but was described as reserved. Some of the band approaches at the Hard Rock; was accordingly compared with the style of Ritchie Blackmore Set Your Back on Fire with Kiss and the solo in Pure Hatred. Songs like biting and scratching, Some Came Running and Used Leather (Hanging Loose ) also remember the British pub rock of the 1970s.

Reviews

Power of the Hunter is, according to Manfred Kerschke " [k ] a bad disc, but missing the highlights ." According to Malc Macmillan is the debut very similar, but not as intense and overwhelming as this. Part of the material WOULD something to hold back on the danger of sinking into mediocre hard rock territory, but with compositions like Walking Barefoot Over Glass, TANK and the cover of Crazy Horses have achieved the band best.

Eduardo Rivadavia of Allmusic described the album as after the " destructive debut" Filth Hounds of Hades " surprisingly restrained and civilized sounding ". However, the band with the instrumental piece TANK, Red Skull Rock and the title song had almost reached its former strength. Set Your Back on Fire he described as " ridiculously titled " and as a second-rate version of Kiss sounding; Pure Hatred is titled misleading, and Peter Brabbs try to the solo at a Ritchie Blackmore imitation. With songs such as biting and scratching, Some Came Running and Used Leather (Hanging Loose ) have the band regressed on their late - 1970s punk rock roots to the pub. Although Power of the Hunter is still not a total disaster, but was referred to by him as " sonic Entmannungsprozess ", which is why the album had sold half as good as the debut album.
