Powermad

Powermad is an American power and thrash metal band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, founded in 1984, disbanded in 1990 and 2007 got together again.

History

The band was founded in 1984. The group recorded a self-titled EP, which was produced with a print run of 2,000 units with Combat Records. Then the band took on more demos and reached by a contract with Warner Bros. Records. The second EP The Madness Begins ... appeared on Warner's sister label, Reprise Records in 1988. A year later, the group went back into the studio to record their debut album Absolute Power. The song Slaughterhouse should later in the film Wild at Heart - The Story of Sailor and Lula be included. After the album was released in 1989, the group disbanded in 1990 to initially and found again in 2007 together. Currently the group consists of singer and guitarist Joel DuBay, guitarist Todd Haug, bassist Jeff Litke and drummer Dirk Verbeuren, which in 2011 came new to the occupation.

Style

The band plays a mix of power and thrash metal, so that the group's music with pieces by Metal Church, Armored Saint and Vicious Rumors is comparable.
