Prafulla Dahanukar

Prafulla Dahanukar (* 1934 in Goa) is an Indian painter.

Life and work

Prafulla Dahanukar grew up in Mumbai and studied at the Sir JJ School of Art in 1955 she concluded her studies with honors and received a scholarship from the French government to study in Paris in 1961. Upon successful completion, she returned to her home. Prafulla Dahanukar won shortly after their first study a prize at the annual exhibition of the Bombay Art Society, from 1956 regularly followed their own exhibitions. She has exhibited in many countries like Germany, England, France, Australia or Japan and are in various museums in India, such as the Prince of Wales Museum and the National Gallery of Modern Art to see. Her principal work consists of abstract art, often landscapes that she calls Eternal Space. You want to bring in their fascination with the infinity of space to express.
