Praga Warszawa
The MUKS Praga Warsaw ( Warszawa Praga Międzyszkolny Uczniowski club Sportowy Kobieca Piłka nożna ) is a Polish women's football club from the capital, Warsaw. It was founded in 2001.
History
The club was founded in December 2001 on the initiative of parents of some of soccer -playing girls. Praga Warsaw worked from the foundation closely with schools and other clubs. The teams regularly took part in tournaments in different parts of Poland and even abroad.
From the 2002/03 season the club went with a senior team in the group II of Masovia league at the start, which was the second highest division in Poland. The association won twice in a row the first place. During the club in the season 2002/ 03 already lost the first play-off game against Luboński KS Luboń 0-1, succeeded a year later the rise. The club won the first play-off match against Victoria Sianów 1-0 and qualified for a promotion tournament. Here Praga Warsaw met the two other winners of the first round.
