Praia da Rocha

Praia da Rocha ( German: beach of the rocks ) is a beach on the Algarve in Portugal. It lies between Portimão and Alvor. The result of about 1.5 km long coastline is by Meeresauswaschung of harder rock from the surrounding softer material it here at the 20-30 m high cliffs. Above the scarp, numerous hotels, apartments, restaurants and shops have secured the location advantage. The coastal form is here still in constant motion, so that there will be further crashes and release of boulders.
