Features
The moths reach a wingspan of 14-17 millimeters. The front wings are scaly gray-brown, the head is ocher.

Way of life
Unlike Prays Prays fraxinella ruficeps is less common, the caterpillars live only in the buds of European ash (Fraxinus excelsior).
