Prealps East of the Mur

The Edge Mountains east of the Mur is one in the Alpine Club classification of the Eastern Alps (AVE ) introduced under the No. 47 mountain range in the eastern Alps.

You captured the eastern foothills of the Central Alps and the foothills of the eastern and south-eastern Foreland.

Boundary and adjacent mountain groups

The perimeter of the Edge Mountains east of the Mur is formed:

  • In the north- east it touches the Vienna Woods
  • To the Gutensteiner Alps along the Stonefield Neunkirchen- Ternitz
  • Rax -Schneeberg Group: the line of Ternitz - Gloggnitz Schott Vienna over the Semmering Pass to Miirzzuschlag in Muerztal
  • Of Miirzzuschlag to Bruck an der Mur is adjacent to the high Schwab Group
  • The Lavantal Alps separates the Mur to pitch
  • The eastern boundary runs along the unspecific Hungarian Plain, Lake Neusiedler and Bruck an der Leitha in the Vienna Basin

Structure

The mountain range is generally divided into the following regions:

  • Fischbacher Alps ( 1783 m above sea Stuhleck. A. )
  • Change ( Hochwechsel 1743 m above sea level. A. )
  • Grazer Bergland ( Hochlantsch 1720 meters above sea level. A. )

In addition, it comprises the eastern and south-eastern foothills of the Alps:

  • Leitha Mountains ( Sonnenberg 484 m above sea level. A. )
  • Rosaliengebirge (Heuberg 748 meters above sea level. A. )
  • Sopron Mountains ( Brent latch 606 m above sea level. A. )
