Přední kout

Přední kout is a 410 meter high forested mountain in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers northeast of Hustopeče in Boleradická Highlands, a spur of Ždánický and is the highest point of the micro-region Hustopečsko.

Geography

Surrounding villages are Diváky, Boleradice, Horni Bojanovice Kurdejov and Nikolčice. To the east lies the valley of the Haraska. Southeast springs the Pradlenka, at the southwestern foot of the Bach Kurdějovský creek, west and north of the Štinkovka Divácký creek.

Special

The mountain was located on the historic language border in Moravia. The village Gurdau located on the southwestern foot part of the German language area, all other localities were kout to the Přední tschechischsprachig. Between 1938 and 1945, ran south-west of the mountain the border between the German Reich and the " Resttschechei " and the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia.

In the northeastern slope is the 26.33 -hectare nature reserve Roviny, which has been protected since 1986. The area is consisted with dry grasslands and scrubland on calcareous soil, Pannonian oak-hornbeam and downy oak forests and Euro - Siberian steppe oak forests. On the Roviny there is a significant population of orchid plants. Among the insects occurring here include the Russian bear, the stag beetle and the Great Feuerfalter.
