Prikaz

A Prikas (Russian приказ ) is the Russian word for " command " or " order" or " anbefohlenes Office", was commissioned by the Tsar to individual dignitaries.

To perform this task, the dignitaries employees had to use in repetitive tasks a kind of authority was created, on it the name Prikas was transferred. This Prikase were entrusted with very different tasks, their importance was determined by the position of the head to the tsar. A clear definition of the duties of the individual Prikase did not exist. Each had Prikas own revenue and expenditure, own jurisdiction, its employees and the population under his control. Many Prikase existed only for a short time, others became permanent institutions. At times there were up to sixty Prikase who were directly responsible to the Tsar.
