Primavera Rosa
The Primavera Rosa ( it., dt: Pink spring ) was a one-day race in the women's cycling, which until 2005 held in the Italian region Liguria 1999. It was part of the cycling World Cup of women.
The race was created by RCS Sport as a female counterpart to the classic Milan - Sanremo and discharged on the last 118 km of the men's race Verazze to Sanremo. It included hence the famous climbs Cipressa and Poggio di Sanremo.
The name Primavera Rosa played like the color of the Maglia Rosa on the color of the sports newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, which is part of the RCS Group.
Following the cancellation of the match in 2006, the race was not held.
