Prime Minister of Italy
The President of the Council of Ministers is also head of government in Italy. His official title is: Presidente del Consiglio dei Ministri ( Prime Minister or President Council of Ministers ).
As prime minister, and thus Head of Government of Italy, he is initially appointed by the President and then elected by the Parliament in the form of a retrospectively affirmative vote of confidence.
In the protocol-related ranking of the head of government is the fourth in the Italian political system.
