Primoz Prost (* July 14, 1983 in Trbovlje ) is a Slovenian handball player.

Career

Primoz Prost played until 2004 the Slovenian club RK Rudar Trbovlje and then to 2008 in Gorenje Velenje. Then the 1.86 -meter handball goalkeeper moved to the Danish club Bjerringbro - Silkeborg. As of 2011, Prost was the French first division club Montpellier AHB under contract by which he was 2012 champion.

In September 2012, the French Justice initiated an investigation against eight players from Montpellier, including Primoz Prost, due to suspicion of fraud. The team will have a game in the French league intentionally lost in order to allow relatives of the players high winnings of up to 200,000 euros. As a result cheers from Montpellier was dismissed. Since February 2013 he is the German Bundesliga Frisch Auf Göppingen under contract.

Prost part of the team of the Slovenian national team, with whom he took part in the 2012 European Championship in Serbia and at the 2013 World Cup in Spain.
