Prince George Circuit
The Prince George Circuit is a 3.920 km long race track in East London ( Eastern Cape), South Africa.
History
The course was opened in 1930 and was the venue for the Grand Prix of South Africa in the years 1934 and 1936 until 1939. Thereafter found no race because of World War 2 instead. In 1959, the course was modified and adapted to the Formula 1 conditions. In the 60s, three times the Grand Prix of South Africa took place here. But the course was considered too small for Formula 1 cars, and the Grand Prix of South Africa moved to Kyalami to.
