Princess Elisabeth Helene of Thurn and Taxis

Elisabeth Helene Margravine of Meissen duchess of Saxony, born Princess of Thurn and Taxis (* December 15 1903 in St. Emmeram Palace, Regensburg, † October 22, 1976 in Munich) was the daughter of the last Prince of Thurn and Taxis, Albert, and his wife Margaret, born Archduchess of Austria.

Biography

Elisabeth Helene was born on December 15, 1903 in Regensburg at Schloss St. Emmeram the only daughter of Prince Albert of Thurn and Taxis and his wife Margarethe Clementine of Austria from the House of Habsburg -Lorraine. On 16 June 1923 she married Prince Friedrich Christian of Saxony, the second son of the last King of Saxony.

Elisabeth Helene died on 22 October 1976, and was buried next to the Royal Chapel Imst- Brennbichl in North Tyrol.

Friedrich Christian and Elisabeth Helene had five children:
