Princess Märtha Louise of Norway

Märtha Louise of Schleswig -Holstein -Sonderburg- Glücksburg, Princess of Norway ( born September 22, 1971) is the eldest child of Harald V, King of Norway, and Sonja, Queen of Norway.

Life

The Princess was born on 22 September 1971 in Oslo and named Märtha Louise and her great-grandmother after her grandmother. Together with her ​​parents and her brother Haakon she spent her childhood in a rural location on the royal estate Skaugum in Asker outside Oslo.

The princess attended a public kindergarten and the local primary school in Smestad. In 1990 she put her Abitur at the Christian school in Oslo. Then studied literature at Oxford ( no degree).

In 1990 she trained in England jumping and was later a member of the Norwegian national team in show jumping. In 2000, she ended her riding career.
