Principal Galaxies Catalogue

The Principal Galaxies Catalogue ( PGC) is an astronomical catalog of galaxies. The catalog is also known by the abbreviation LEDA.

Published in 1989 by astronomers from Lyon and Meudon version contained 73 197 objects with details including location, morphological classification, Apparent magnitude, radial velocity and identification in other galaxies catalogs. By 2003, the PGC has been extended to 983 261 galaxies brighter than 18th magnitude and transferred to the HYPERLEDA database.
