Prix Nadar

The Prix Nadar is a French Photo Book Prize, which was founded in 1955 by the Society Gens d' Images and Albert plecy. Excellent the best French-language book photo is from last year to historical or contemporary photography.

At the election of the winner, a jury nationale de France is true of ten experts in the field of photography in the Bibliothèque. The jury chairmanship rotates annually. All the winning works will be added except in the National Library and in the library of the " Musée Nicéphore Niépce " in Chalon -sur -Saône. Namesake of the prize is the French photographer Felix Nadar (1820-1910), one of the pioneers of photography.
