Recreational Dive Planner

The Recreational Dive Planner ( RDP) is the dive table of PADI. Compared to other associations PADI besides SSI is the only association that has a zero time table instead of a decompression table in the training program, as planned at PADI in the basic training program no decompression or performed, as these require special training. However, the RDP has scheduled a hedge in case you accidentally dive too deep or too long.

The RDP is available in different versions. Best known is the normal table on an underwater map ( Slate ), which is sufficient for basic training and can be calculated with the repetitive dives. The " Wheel", which is used to calculate multilevel dives and in which must not be rounded up, is required only from the Divemaster course, but may even be taught in the Open Water Diver Course. Recently, there are also electronic versions of the RDP, RDP software for the PC, as well as an independent small electronic "calculator" name eRDP. Furthermore, there is the former table in the Nitrox variants 32% and 36%, as well as RDP Equivalenztabellen alternative for nitrox mixtures and for the altitude dives. For training, there is the RDP and the " Wheel" in an XXL version.

All PADI RDP versions are compatible with each other and can easily be changed during computation. PADI tables, however, are incompatible with the tables of other organizations, since they are based on different principles.

The probably most famous for PADI divers opportunity to financially support the Project AWARE, is the ability to take a normal brevets to acquire a AWARE certification card. For a donation of (at least) 10 € the diver receives this certification, which has a beautiful underwater motif on the front.
