Project Bandaloop

Project Bandaloop is the name for an unusual dance project in the U.S., which combines the elements of rock climbing and dance together. The artistic direction of the existing lineup since 1991 is perceived by Amelia Rudolph.

The performances of Project Bandaloop are connection between dance, rock climbing, aerial ballet and ritual elements and always refer also the venue with a. A project of the troops consisted for example of a 18-day crossing of the Sierra Nevada with air ballet and dance performances over the Tulomne River, another in three-dimensional ballet at various buildings around the world. The on-site performances of the Project Bandaloop are usually filmed and set to music and then incorporated into a multimedia stage adaptation.

Project Bandaloop occurs in theaters, buildings, warehouses, meeting halls or in the great outdoors. The troupe consists of seven to eight dancers. They appeared already at all major dance festivals and of their performances numerous prizes and grants.
