Project Euler

Project Euler is an English education website. It includes a number of problems that should be solved by using mathematics and programming. The target audience of the website are people who are interested in mathematics and computer science and to refresh their skills, obtain or improve.

Project Euler was founded in October 2001 by Colin Hughes. After self- representation includes Project Euler problems about 450 (as of December 2013), which vary greatly in difficulty. The problems are designed so that they can be solved by an efficient algorithm that is run on a moderately powerful computer within a minute. Once a registered user has entered the correct result, he gets access to a discussion thread on this issue where users can discuss their different solution strategies.

Use of the site is free and available without registration, to verify the results and to participate in discussions, however, a free registration is required.

The user would come after its own statement from about 150 countries, with most users will come from the English-speaking world and Europe. There should be about 350,000 registered users, who have solved at least one of the problems (as of December 2013).
