Province of Sassari
The Sassari ( Italien. Provincia di Sassari) province is a province of the Sardinia region. Capital is Sassari. It has about 329 551 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012) in 66 municipalities covering an area of 4281 km ².
The province of Sassari was up to the assignment of 24 municipalities to the new province of Olbia -Tempio (2005 ) is the largest province in Italy.
It is the province with the highest density of Nuraghe and also their share of the Domus de Janas is very large.
