EW ( gasoline engines )

EW7

The EW7 has a displacement of 1.7 L (1749 cc ) with a bore of 82.7 mm and a stroke of 81.4 mm. He is the successor of the XU7 and non- XU10 charged with eight valves. All EW7 have two overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder.

The production of EW7 was set in Europe on 1 January 2011 due to lack of Euro -5 suitability.

EW10

The EW10 has a displacement of 2.0 L (1997 cc ) with a bore of 85 mm and a stroke of 88 mm. He is the successor of the non-turbocharged 16-valve XU10. All EW10 have two overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder.

A HPi -called version with direct injection was introduced in 2000 in the Citroën C5 and Peugeot 406, but stopped for lack of demand in 2003.

The production of the EW10 was set in Europe due to lack of Euro -5 suitability on 1 January 2010.

EW12

The EW12 has a displacement of 2.2 L ( 2230 cc ) with a bore of 86 mm and a stroke of 96 mm and is equipped with two overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder. He replaced the charged XU10.

The production of the EW12 was set in Europe due to lack of Euro -5 suitability on 1 January 2011.

DW (diesel engines)

DW8

The DW8 is a swirl chamber diesel engine with a displacement of 1.9 L (1868 cc ) with a bore of 82.2 mm and a stroke of 88 mm. He replaced the non-turbocharged versions of the XUD7 and XUD9.

The production of the DW8 was shut down due to lack of Euro -4- fitness in 2007. The DW8 was replaced by the 1.4-liter HDi DV motor with 50 kW (68 hp).

DW10

The DW10 was the first PSA Diesel engine with direct injection. It has a displacement of 2.0 L (1997 cc ) with a bore of 85 mm and a stroke of 88 mm and replaced the supercharged versions of the XUD7 and XUD9.

DW12

The DW12 has a displacement of 2.2 L ( 2179 cc ) with a bore of 85 mm and a stroke of 96 mm. It was introduced in 2000 and replaced the XUD11.
