Publius Suillius Rufus

Publius Suillius Rufus was a Roman politician, senator and prosecutor under Emperor Claudius.

Suillius was a son of Vistilia and thus half-brother Gnaeus Domitius Corbulo of the commander and the Milonia Caesonia, the fourth wife of Emperor Caligula. He was married to the stepdaughter of Ovid. His sons were Suillius Caesonianus and Marcus Suillius Nerullinus.

Suillius ' official career has survived only in fragments. It is known that he decemvir stlitibus iudicandis, 15-18 Quaestor of Germanicus, legate of an unknown legion (17/19? ) And praetor (23? ) Was. Between 41 and 45 held Suillius the Suffektkonsulat, after which he managed as proconsul the province of Asia.

Under Claudius, he was a feared prosecutor.
