Puerto Aroma
Puerto Aroma is a village in the department of La Paz in the South American Andes State of Bolivia.
Location in near space
Puerto flavor is the central place of the Canton of flavor and largest town of the district ( bolivian: Municipio) Chacarilla in the province of Gualberto Villarroel. The village lies at an altitude of 3798 m on the left bank of the Río Desaguadero, which connects Lake Titicaca with the Poopó lake.
Geography
Puerto aroma is on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andes mountain ranges, the Cordillera Occidental and the Cordillera Central in the west to the east. The climate of the region is a typical diurnal climate, in which the mean fluctuation of day and night temperatures is more distinct than that of the seasonal fluctuations.
The average annual temperature of the region lies at 8-9 ° C (see climate chart Callapa ), the monthly values vary only slightly between 5 ° C in July and well 10 ° C from November to March. The annual rainfall is about 400 mm, the monthly rainfall range from less than 10 mm in the months of May to August and at 100 mm in December.

Puerto flavor is just south of La Paz, the capital of the department of the same name at a distance of 145 kilometers of road.
From La Paz leads the paved highway Ruta 2 to El Alto, from there the Ruta 1 in a southerly direction as asphalt road to Patacamaya. From there leads the Ruta 4 over seventeen miles to Cañaviri and another eight kilometers south-westerly direction to a east-west running Escarpment, which has a height of 3950 m here. From the edge of the Escarpment from a dirt road leads south to Puerto flavor.
