Pulmonary thromboendarterectomy
A thromboendarterectomy (TEA ) is a surgical recanalization of vessels that were for example embolic or thrombotic closed.
Implementation
In a thrombendarterectomy the artery is exposed and opened. Or by means of dissection, the Ringdesobliteration thrombus removed together with a part of the inner vessel wall. Optionally, the TEA is combined with a patch of plastic, in which the affected artery is extended by a plastic patch or a pre- extracted in a different part of the body and along vein cut.
The diseases which are often performed TEA, the peripheral arterial disease (PAD ) and the stenosis of the internal carotid artery. There are four different techniques: The patch technique, the direct closure, the fork transposition and the eversion technique (EEA )
