The powder stream is a right tributary of the monastery Bach in Swabia ( Bavaria). It is formed by the union of Egaugraben and Ruth ditch on the city of Blenheim on the Danube.

Geography

Headwaters

The 5 km long Egaugraben begins in Saddle achievement. At high tide there water is directed from the Egau. The Egaugraben runs in an easterly direction, taking the exterior Riedgraben on. This is considered to be permanently water-bearing upper reaches of the powder stream and carries the same waters code.

The Ruth digging begins opposite the mouth of the well stream at the mill medium. The 600 m long ditch diverts water from the creek monastery in southern direction. There he joins the Egaugraben the powder stream.

Course

After the confluence of the headwaters of the powder stream flows to the east and remains throughout the course on the boundary of Blenheim. Parallel to Klosterbach it reaches the core city. There the powder stream passes under the B 16 and ends near the Ellimahdstraße in the Klosterbach.

Conservation

Within the Natura 2000 concept, the streams of Klosterbach, powder creek and Egaugraben as Special Areas of Conservation are provided. As part of a planned bypass road of Dillingen on the Danube a FFH impact study for crossing the Egau and powder stream and Brunnenbach was performed.
