Punch Taverns is a British company based in Burton- upon- Trent, Staffordshire.

History

The company was founded in 1997 and is the owner of pubs and taverns in the UK. In November 2003, the British competitors Pubmaster was purchased and in 2004 the British company Innspired was purchased. In December 2005, the rival Spirit Group was acquired. Through the acquisitions of recent years has been for Punch Taverns largest operators of taverns and pubs in the UK. The largest competitor in the United Kingdom is Mitchells & Butlers.
