Pure (company)

Pure is an English company in the consumer electronics industry. It is a division of Imagination Technologies and within the group responsible for the marketing of products based on technologies from Imagination Technologies and its subsidiaries.

History

The company was formed on 31 August 1999 as a video Logic Systems after a restructuring and renaming of video Logic Limited in Imagination Technologies. At the same Video Logic system was established with the old company name to market the products of the newly created PowerVR Technologies (including video Logic Vivid!, And Vivid! XS). During this time, we were offered self-developed audio products such as sound cards ( and Others Video Logic SonicFury or Sonic Storm ) or speaker systems and graphics cards with techniques of PowerVR Technologies.

After the offer increasingly mainly shifted over the years due to lack of graphics products PowerVR Technologies towards audio products, DAB units, the company was renamed on 15 July 2002 in PURE Digital. Video Logic was still used for some years as a brand name. Since 2008 the company only occurs under the name of Pure. Beginning of 2012 was presented to the tenth anniversary of Pure, a new corporate identity, this includes a new logo and a new style.

Products

Our current product range includes mainly DAB devices, such as fixed and portable radio devices, internet radio, alarm clock and iPod docking stations. The technology for these products comes mainly from its sister company Ensigma Technologies.

In 2008 released her first Internet radio Pure Evoke Flow and to the Internet radio portal The Lounge. In this online portal to Internet radio stations, audio-on -demand, podcasts and nature sounds are available for free. The platform was replaced in 2012 by the music platform Pure Connect. Pure Connect offers the sale of individual songs and albums, and the cloud-based music portal Pure Music. On September 2, 2012 Pure Day was presented, which allows the title to see just a run on the radio and then to buy direct. An iPhone, iPad and Android App for the online platform was released in 2010.

With the Avalon 300D Pure Connect has entered in 2012 in the British TV business. Avalon 300D Connect is a Freeview HD digital TV recorder has the BBC iPlayer, Youtube and Pure Connect integration. The technology for this product comes mainly from PowerVR Technologies.
