Qilian County

Qilian county (祁连 县; pinyin: Qilian Xiàn ) is a district of the Autonomous District Haibei the Tibetans in the northeastern Chinese province of Qinghai. It has an area of 15,610 km ² and has about 50,000 inhabitants. Its main town is the large village Babao (八宝 镇). Due to the Chinese nuclear program large parts of the province are restricted military area, including the capital Babao.
