Quadratrix

As quadratrix (also Quadratix ) refers to curves, with the help of an area equal to a given circle square can be constructed. In addition to the quadratrix itself or a device that they recorded, this usually only ruler and compass as design tools are allowed ( see also squaring of the circle ).
